THE FEDORA @ THE VINTAGE FAIR

A good suit deserves a great hat so we have also made a unisex Fedora to match the suit.  The Fedora was first introduced as a woman hat and took its name from Victorien Sardou's 1882 french play "Fedora".  The heroine of the play, Princess Fedora, wore a hat very similar to what we recognize as the Fedora hat today.  The play which first premiered in America in 1889 stared the actress Sarah Bernhardt so it is not surprising that in the following decade fashionable women took to wearing the Fedora.  By the 1920's the Fedora had crossed the gender boundaries of style, taking its place firmly in the men's wardrobe being the smart choice to finishing the look of the double-breasted suit.  Humphrey Bogart, Frank Sinatra, Al Capone, Johnny Depp, Harrison Ford, and The Blues Brothers have all made lasting images in our mind of a man in a Fedora.  Add some elegance to your look with Epicosity's Fedora.
