In 1837 Queen Victoria intended to inspect the H.M.S. Blazer and it's crew. The Commander decided that his crew was dressed to poorly to receive the young Queen and commissioned new uniforms. With the Commanders choice the first blazers had been sewn into existence forever altering mens fashion. A traditional blazer can be distinguished from other jackets by the fact that they are made of wool, have no pattern, and usually have brass buttons. They can be single breasted or double breasted. A well tailored blazer is one of the hallmarks of a well dressed man's wardrobe. A blazer can be traditional for a dressed up look, take on a sporty edge, or as we have done made it the weekend casual easily adapting from a late brunch to a night out. The blazer differs from a suit in that it can be paired with slacks, jeans, and even a pair of shorts. A blazer for all of its tradition and history actually enables a man to explore his own unique personal style.

I find it some how right that many of todays mainstream staple of a mens wardrobe has its roots in British Military. Chino's so named because they were made mostly in China are another example of this. In the 1840's British soldiers where fighting in the Punjab and very quickly came to realize their traditional scarlet and white uniforms made them a rather easy target. To help themselves blend into the terrain they died their uniforms a dust color and even named the color the Urdu word for dust, Khaki. It did not take long for the worlds armies to follow suit and start issuing khaki uniforms to their military men. Khaki clothing, "dust" colored clothing became a familiar sight in both world wars and among the rich and wanna be rich as they went of on safari. After WWII designers made entire collection in the Khaki color and newly returned service men could be seen wearing their "khakis" to colleges and universities most often pair with a button down shirt and loafers. As khakis or chinos grew more and more popular they strayed from the original dust color and many other colors started appearing on runways around the world but to this day the most popular color of Chinos are in the original "khaki" color. So in a nod to history and great fashion we offer to you the Epic Casual Chinos. They come in 9 colors to mix and match with the Casual Blazer with amazing detail from the brass buttons to the cuffs.
